Christopher Livesay is an award-winning multimedia journalist based in Rome, Italy. His recent work focuses on free speech, culture, and the threat ISIS poses to the West. He has reported from Europe, Mexico, and across the US for PBS FRONTLINE, NPR, and the BBC, and CNN, among other outlets, and has appeared on the CBC, FOX News and Italian state broadcaster Rai.

He holds a master’s degree (highest honors) from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.

Livesay is a former staff reporter for the English and foreign desks at ANSA, the leading Italian news agency, where he was part of the team that broke the story of Benedict XVI’s shocking abdication.

He is currently directing a documentary on the Kurdish resistance to Islamic State.
